I recently saw the movie "The Notebook". My husband of all people brought it home.

I have to say that this is my all time favorite love story. This movie reaches every part of your soul. It makes you wish you had/have that type of love in your life. Some people may have that but I sure don't.

Besides being set in the 40's, the actors portrayed the characters perfectly. That Ryan Gosling is adorable.

Anyways, what is your favorite earth shattering romance movie?

"The Notebook" was a very good movie! I enjoyed it.

My favorite is "Meet Joe Black". I rarely buy movies, but that one was a must have in my book and I love watching it at least once a year.

I had had different favourites, but my current one and has been for about 12 years is French Kiss with Meg Ryan. We bought a copy of VHS and a couple years ago dh ordered in a DVD copy for me. I watch it a few times a year.

I haven't seen 'The Notebook'...I know... where *have* I been...

One of my all time favorites is Hope Floats. Harry Connick is irresistible in this movie. He's like the knight, riding in to rescue the damsel(s) in distress.

Oh I forgot another favorite romantic movie... Somewhere in Time with Christopher Reeve and Jane Seymour. My husband likes the movie too. When he was biking across the country, he went out of his way (yes, on his bike!) to go to the Grand Hotel and send me flowers. :)

Wow...The Grand Hotel is out of everyone's way...

I ball every time I see the Notebook and I've seen it 10 times. French Kiss is also a really good one.

I liked "A Lot Like Love" with Ashton Kutcher and Amanda Peet.

Ok, as I was clicking thru your link of Pride/Prejudice, I thought "Well, she just better mean the version with Colin Firth!" YES!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have that pride & prejudice as well as "Room with a View" on DVD. I haven't seen "Enchanted April" in years but I remember it was great.

I'd like to add "Notting Hill" and the Sense & Sensibility with Emma Thompson & Kate Winslet.
