I have to make this quick bc there is a lot going on. I said I come here for fun----and you all are my fun and my haven! Our 16 yo dd is Bi-Polar, and last night tried to burn down our house. We put her in a facility today. Everyone and all the animals are OK, the house is going to be all right as well, but very damaged. The fire marshal said we were 10 seconds from having the whole house go up in flames. Jim and I were able to put out the fire with the garden hose, which was huge by the time we got everyone out.

I am going to the doctor to check my lungs and blood pressure, which they felt was way high. You all are my friends and I don't ever get on with my personal problems here---only a few know.

Pray for us, those of you who pray. That was the hardest thing I have had to do in years, but my other two children have to be safe. Thanks for letting me bend your ear, but I did not want anyone to think that I just disappeared again. Melody

My deepest sympathies for your many troubles. That had to be a tough decision to make, but I am sure that you did the right thing.

Oh Melody - my prayers are certainly coming your way! You can PM me anytime to vent, discuss, whatever -- and I know there are many many others here who feel the same.

I know this will take some time for you to sort out, both emotionally and physically. My heart is with you!

The advantage of being a beginner is, nobody has told you "That can't be done." This is also the disadvantage of being a beginner.

I have tears in my eyes. This is so sad. You did the right thing and I am sorry for all the pain you and your family are experiencing and all the difficult decisions you have had to make and probably yet will have to make. I can only be grateful that we did not lose you or Abby or Booter, all dear people who we know through this site, and your husband and your 16 y.o. dd. For our sewing community to have lost any of you is unthinkable. I am hoping for the best. I hope each of you sometime down the road can heal, and that your family can heal as well.
