Date: 3/23/09 11:16 PM I looked and looked to see if there was anything in our area on the Regional topics and did not find one.
So are any of you Utahns interested in chatting about local sewing, sewing stores, etc.?

Date: 3/24/09 1:57 AM Hi,
We have a number of St. George members in our Las Vegas ASG sewing guild chapter. I don't know if you live any where near St. George. If you do I can send you the email of the group leader in that area.
Kathy ------ Sewing and reading about sewing are daily pleasures.
I hope to use up lots of stash in 2012.

Date: 3/24/09 9:32 AM Hi Patti, count me in. I am in SLC. Speaking of stores, don't know what your preferred sewing style is, but "Fashion Affair" is closing... Saturday the 28th is their last day. Although much of their stock is gone, they still have some nice summer-y linens, cottons, as well as wool and silk, lots of thread, zippers. All 50 % off. ------ Viking Lily 545

Date: 4/8/09 11:11 PM Sorry, I have been kinda out of it for the last week or so.
I made it to Fashion Affair the last week they were open, so I have one piece of fabric purchased there. I told my husband that I had to have at least one piece to mark their passing.
So there are four of us counted for. Three of us in the greater Salt Lake area. I live in Sugarhouse that almost South Salt Lake.

Date: 4/8/09 11:14 PM By the way, are either of you members of ASG in the Salt Lake area?
I am a member and try to go the neighborhood meetings at Nuttall's in Murray. I know there is also a neighborhood group in West/South? Jordan and am curious to know more about the format of their meetings.

Date: 4/9/09 3:16 PM I am in SLC, just east of Liberty Park.
I was an ASG member, still debating if I am going to renew or not.
I attended the West Valley NG meeting. Most of the members are quilters. I don't quilt so the group was fun but monthly topics while interesting weren't thing I want to do. I couldn't go to the Murray group becuase they meet during the day when I am at work.
I would love to meet with a group that sews clothes and meets in the evenings.

Date: 4/10/09 9:59 AM I belong to ASG, but don't go as I work when they have thei rmeetings too. It would be fun to get together as a group to sew clothing, learn to fit and alter, etc. ------ Lorri |

Date: 4/13/09 6:59 PM Yeah, that would not work for me either. I am not a quilter and not going to be.
There is an ASG group that meets at the City building? County building? but they seem to be locked into a program of pants fitting right now.
I think that meeting someplace with people who do clothes would be terrific.
