New Vogues

Someone at Vogue is hell bent on reinventing Hammer Pants:

V1113
V1116
V8588

There are a couple cute ones:
This shirtwaist dress is adorable, and perfect for my body type.
I love the lines on this Divine Details dress
And I'm a sucker for cool neck detail like this empire waist dress.

Now, I have problems seeing past my own body type, so I'm sure there is some other stuff in there for non-pears, but otherwise, I've never seen so much fugly in one release. I mean do we really need to bring back the caftan!!!

OH my 1108 is a must!!!!!!! Then I'll take 8589. The hammer pants don't work for me.

now I'm not a huge Vogue girl to begin with but ...

ARE YOU FREAKIN' KIDDING ME?!?

No, seriously, if this is an early Aprils Fool's Day joke then you got me. Really. Good job.

She looks like an Oompah Loompah.

It's official, the '80s are back. First my daughter comes home with leg warmers and a neon, spatter paint belt and now I see Vogue is reinventing the asymmetrical look and hammer pants.

1116 is just bizarre. I sort of like 1112, though, and a couple of the new tunics.

If you did 1116 up in something shiny, it might make a nice mobile solar panel. I hear that kind of thing is in these days. Even thought the thought of wearing them pains me, I wildly congratulate Vogue for doing some edgier designs. Most other pattern collections are *so* boring right now. As a whole, isn't this a weird, clashly assortment? There's the fussy bow-tie dresses, the empire waist flowy things, the weird things, and then what is Betzina up to exactly? My head hurts.

Maybe the designer is a fan of Canio's costume in 'I Pagliacci'? Perhaps we're really dealing with high art here.

I am with you,

Can you say GTFOOH, and I do not use words like that in real life EVER.

What were they thinking? The pants are cute from the back but those knee things OY!

I must be getting old. DD is loving the 80s stuff.

I will not wear hammer pants, or skin tight skinny jeans...
