I recently became a "Friend of PR" to get the discount on the classes. I was digging through my stack of patterns today and remembered the catalog feature. Wow! How handy! I can't believe that in only a year of sewing I have amassed 36 patterns LOL. No wonder I lost track of which ones I had. I have renewed excitement about sewing some of the ones I forgot about.

This is also one of my favorite features of PR. Since joining, I have collected many patterns and keeping track of them all through the Pattern Catalog has been so convenient.
I also love looking through my catalog while at work during my lunch break, planning and dreaming of projects to come!

It is great, isn't it? I love using it to plan and dream. Check out the Wish list function also... when you eventually buy all those patterns on your wish list, you can transfer them to the pattern catalog with one click.

Thank you for mentioning this feature. I had not used this before. I just added my favorite patterns. Now I can see them online.

Wow!! I didn't know the Pattern Catalog was available. I come to PR everyday to look at the patterns reveiwed. I guess I get so involved in looking at the reviews that I never noticed the catalog feature. Does anyone know if the number of patterns that can be added to the Pattern Catalog is unlimited? Thanks so much PR!!!!

Well, I've got over 500 on there so far...

After spending all that time entering them all, there's no way I'm ever letting my FOPR membership lapse!

Thanks to the boards & this thread I'm building my pattern stash catalog.

Two patterns I've tried to add show as 'added to stash' but then when I go to the stash, they don't show & I can't find them when I search my stash.

One is Cutting Line designs Pattern 31371 OneSEAMPants, the other is Loes Hinse 5002 Swing Skirt. I'm puzzled.

Can anyone help - tell me why this might be? Thanks!

Ibbizy isn't a Friends of PR member, so I can answer this for the others who (like me) aren't FoPR members: maximum of 25 patterns. It used to be 20, but since the format was changed it's been increased to 25. Whenever I get up to the maximum 25, I save the two pattern catalogue pages as web pages and just keep them as documents. Then I delete the contents of my pattern catalogue and start all over again.

Reekoll, that same thing has happened to me occasionally when I've been moving patterns from my wish list to my pattern catalogue -- I just re-enter the item. If this happens again, you could try submitting the details on the miscellaneous questions form on this page.

VBG! I only have 250+ patterns & I would NOT want to lose that data - my body feels it from the time spent entering them all.

Joan1954, thanks for the reply. I did try again next day & was able to enter 1 of the patterns, but not the other one. So I did email, but have not had a reply yet.

I also wished that the categories didn't change after each entry & have to be re-entered. IE: CO Name (say McCall) or Type (Coat/Jacket) because I have multiples of the same & only having to choose it when the category changed would have sped up the process. Is there a trick for doing this I don't know of?

Reekoll -- I agree with your idea to reduce the number of re-entries. I really LOVE this pattern catalog and not having to re-enter duplicate information would be a plus. (Especially for those of us who are inputting a very large pattern stash to begin with.) Also, it would be great if we could drop a .jpg or other graphic file into the form, rather than a url. On some of my patterns, I drop a URL and the whole graphic disappears. On others, I'd like to just show the pants or the jacket or the skirt, etc. I'd like to be able to control which graphic shows on my catalog page.

I guess it doesn't matter how great this site is....We always want more!!
