Date: 4/30/09 12:05 PM I've been following Sarai's blog posts and today the first collection of patterns is available to buy!
I answered a call on her personal blog 6 months ago to help test these patterns (I chose the Eclair dress) and give feedback, so it's really nice to see it launching. And even though my beta-test pattern was just a rough photocopied version, I almost want to buy it again just to get the packaging - instead of normal envelopes, she's done them all as books with a folder at the back for the pattern! Very cute!
Anyway, I made my muslin to test the pattern back in December, but as luck would have it, I'm actually 90% finished with a real silk version of the dress now that I've got an occasion to wear it for, so I should have a proper review up next week, with any luck! ------ www.fehrtrade.com |

Date: 4/30/09 12:10 PM Oh, pretties! I love the booklets idea - so brilliant and beautiful. The dresses are sadly not my style at all but the skirt just might be. Thanks for pointing these out! ------ Kit

Date: 4/30/09 2:08 PM Oh wow, I love these! And she's actually showing her dresses on a model with curves--what a concept!
I like several of them, but I think I'll give the Parfait a try first. Melissa, I'm looking really forward to seeing your review of the Eclair dress--it's looking cute on your blog. ------ --Michelle

Date: 4/30/09 5:23 PM I like the Macaron dress. The skirt is also nice. Unfortunately, the rest seem to require a larger bust than I have. The Chantilly dress is very cute but would probably not be a good style for me.

Date: 4/30/09 7:20 PM Makes me wish I were more of a dress person. They are very pretty and I think she has a wonderful idea with her packaging. ------ "The trouble with quotes on the Internet is that you can never know if they are genuine." --Abraham Lincoln |

Date: 4/30/09 8:01 PM Lots of great ideas here - packaging, display, designs. And on a womanly figure, too. Now if only I were 40 years younger - |

Date: 4/30/09 8:15 PM I really like the Parfait dress. Though I think I might add to the length.
The booklets are a neat idea. :)
Squirrellypoo, what did you think of the instructions? Will they be adequate for a intermediate beginner?
Thanks for sharing about this new pattern line.

Date: 4/30/09 9:46 PM I'm too old for these, but I'll show the kid (18)- maybe she'll find something she likes. ------ Suo ergo maledicto
Your time is limited, so don't waste it living someone else's life. Don't be trapped by dogma - which is living with the results of other people's thinking. Don't let the noise of others' opinions drown out your own inner voice. And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition. They somehow already know what you truly want to become. Everything else is secondary. - Steve Jobs |
