Does anyone know if ANYONE makes Belt and Buckle kits anymore where you can cover the buckle with your own fabric? I used to see these all the time and they suddenly disappeared from all the fabric stores. My local fabric store was unhelpful when I asked what happened. Now when I search for them, I can only find vintage kits. Anyone know what's up?

Thanks,
Rebecca

I haven't seen them in a long time, although Pat Mahoney in Lodi CA does custom covered buttons and belts with buckles (buckles can be ordered seorately too) Her buckle styles are really good, she has over 20 for belts from 1/2 inch to 3 inches wide. The belt w/buckle combinations are fully fabricated with eyelets and you can choose black, silver or gold for the tongue.

She does not have a web site, but you can reach her at 209-369-5410 PST to order a catalog ($5).

You started me on an internet search ... I've had this question in the back of my mind for a while now. Like you, I couldn't come up with any "kits", but did come across this article in Threads. It has some resource links at the bottom.

I just ordered several from Hemlines, I've been looking for covered belt kits for some time, glad to see them here.
