Date: 7/4/09 5:38 PM Hi,
I just found this cruise mentioned on the Bra Makers Supply Web site. Is anyone going on the cruise?
It's an 8 day cruise originating in Fort Lauderdale and sailing around the Caribbean; it costs $1800 Canadian, which works out to $1556.25 US. -- Edited on 7/4/09 5:41 PM -- ------ http://annikaatelier.blogspot.com/ |

Date: 7/4/09 5:53 PM Wow!
A cruise for everything....do you think
they'll do coconut shell bras while stopping at the islands?
Maybe that's a way to get our DH's to take us on a trip.... |

Date: 7/5/09 7:01 AM Oh my! That is r e a l tempting. Once in a lifetime. That would be about 11000 NOK + the flight. Hopefully not more than 5000 NOK. And then some pocket money e t c. It's doable and certainly a reason to take some not-quite-fun job to get to go. But one would feel very selfish doing such a thing instead of taking ones son places, of course. I expect the other ladies are quite experienced, so one would have to practice a bit beforehand to get the most out of the classes. Would you go, Annika? |

Date: 7/5/09 12:49 PM It's tempting. I don't have the funds for it right now and may not be able to take the time in February, but it is tempting. I'd have to decide after Paris, etc. in November.
Could you take your son on the cruise? He might get bored, but there's always other things to do on board. ------ http://annikaatelier.blogspot.com/ |

Date: 7/5/09 1:45 PM Annika, we can attempt to make bras while you are here. I've made a cupole and I have tons of supplies and there's no problem getting a second machine from a friend :) ------ read my blog:

Date: 7/5/09 6:56 PM Tini - I'll bring all my goodies with me then. In the next few weeks I am probably going to attempt my first bra using the lingerie kit I got at Kantjeboord and an Elan pattern I've just ordered... wish me luck! ------ http://annikaatelier.blogspot.com/ |

Date: 7/6/09 4:42 PM I know! That includes three days of bra-making seminars/wprkshops and 4 days of sight-seeing. Very tempting for the dark cold days of February... ------ http://annikaatelier.blogspot.com/ |

Date: 7/6/09 5:31 PM Of course I could take Emil along. And boyfriend too for that matter. They could entertain each other with PC gaming while we sew. And afterwards they could entertain us with their antics. We could even do a stint in New York on the way there or back. (Garment district!) Though that would be cold in Feb, I think. All this is if I get enough work to finance it. (Not boyfriend as he finances himself, thankfully. And treats me a little bit sometime). And I agree, it is very tempting. I'm quite psyched on making bras at the moment and have ordered the Kwik Sew pattern with a full underbust band. It should have clear instructions. I may bring my attempts with me to Paris for people to critique. |
