Date: 7/21/09 7:21 AM Oh my!
Now I have to look for a jersey print that I like the the underside of as well.
Must make this dress.
This might be cute in a thin stretch terry too as lounge/beachwear. |

Date: 7/22/09 0:36 AM Iwould love to make this dress for my daughter, but I don't understand the gathering process for the ruffle. The directions say to "baste from the top edge of the garment to about 12 inches down" Pull the bobbin thread to gather, overstitch with reg stitch. Doesn't the ruffle run the entire front of the dress? There is my confusion: 12" or the entire length? My appreciation if someone could shine a light on this for me. Thanks. |

The entire front is stitched *after* the top 12" are basted and gathered. I will go and change the article too. ------ - Deepika

Date: 8/1/09 12:17 PM i just tried to make this dress and did not come out like the picture at all.Only the gathered part of the ruffle looks like a ruffle, the rest just hangs straight. The fabric is a very soft and flowing two way stretch jersey.Maybe i missed something but i followed the directions to the letter.Hope someone can shed some light.
thanks |
