Yay! I was so pleasantly surprised, since the July issue was 'late' for many folks. I literally just got it, and haven't had time to read through it yet - but will do that on my lunch break. Can't wait to see the whole thing, there's lots of stuff I'm looking forward to.

ETA:
Okay, just finished skimming through it. I had seen a lot of the stuff online already so I wasn't surprised. But, it lived up to my expectations! There are a few really cute things in there that are petite that I wish were regular sizes, but oh well. Plenty of other things to keep me busy. The two things I really want to make are the cape jacket (111) and the 107 skirt. Alas, that skirt only goes up to 42...at least I can size it up to a 46. There are also some really nice blouses and I like the plus-sized pants. I could go on about all the things I like in here...

That cape jacket is really cute, but what kind of bag will you carry with it?
I like this issue. I think it's really stylish. I plan to make the straight skirt 121 and maybe tops 117 and 131. Dress 128 is beautiful but a bit too severe for my taste. Mybe in a fun print?
I really like the pea jacket but I don't understand why there is a pocket in the back!

I didn't even notice the pocket thing on the pea jacket (which I like also) - I guess I didn't even bother to read the description! From the line drawing it doesn't seem like it would look bad, but functionally, what's the point? Weird.

I actually have the most perfect bag to carry with that cape jacket. I didn't think about that until you pointed it out. Then I remembered my awesome bag. It looks like a feminine English leather doctor's bag or something. Omg, now I'm so excited to make that jacket because I am picturing my outfit. I even ordered swatches from Fabric.com to see if I like any of the chinos/twills/gabardines for it.

Overall I think this issue has a lot of timeless stuff. Maybe the capes are a little trendy, but I feel like a lot of the pants, skirts, and blouses could be made in 2 years and still look cool.

Mine showed up today! After 2 late months with not much to show for it, this was a great surprise. I always love the August issue, and this lived up to the hype.

I now have a few new pieces to add to the "to do" list, and DBF actually suggested that if I want to make him anything in the future, the men's jacket in there would look good on him.

Excellent. I didn't end up sewing anything from July and I'm itchin' for the August one. There are many things in it that I NEED. I would be excited if it came Monday.
