The Quilt & Sewing Expo in Chantilly, VA is being held September 30th through October 2nd.

Was anyone from here planning on going to this event? I'm only about 2 miles from the Dulles Expo Center, so I definitely will take a few hours off of work to go see things and perhaps take a class or two as well.

If you don't know what this event is, there's a website up here:

I might go, depending on whether DH is home or out of town then. He has to travel a bunch over the next couple of months and the schedule keeps changing.

Health permitting, I will be there for three days as a 30th birthday gift from dh. It'll be my 1st expo. :)

I thought about taking some of the classes, but didn't want to commit to any of them. I'm not sure what my schedule is like, but I'm pretty sure I'll be taking a long lunch break on that Friday to go :)

Bringing this back up to the top.

I'll be there on Saturday - anyone else going?

Well I ended up taking a long lunch today to go check this out.

Unfortunately I think all of the features of it are focused around the opportunity to shell out lots of money for classes.

The vendors that were there weren't selling anything new and exciting. I thought there may be discounts on items for sale, but they were actually marked UP... I mean who pays 5 bucks for a fat quarter???

I suppose if you're going for the classes, go for it, but if you're going to pay 10 bucks to walk around and shop for unique notions and fabrics, save your money and go down the street to GStreet.
