Has anyone seen latest issue of Vogue?
Definite vintage influence.

I usually don't buy vogue, but this month I broke down and bought it. There is a definite 1930's - 1940's influence, in the suits they were featuring, it is really lovely.

Will anyone wear it?

I've tried to post pics, but pattern review seems to be on the fritz and it sends you to the homepage.

I've posted the pics on my blog instead.

500 + pages and I didn't like anything enough to save in my inspiration file. Either I am too picky or tasteless.

30s & 40s? My favorite vintage era. Definitely wearable today.

Although most of the examples you showed from the magazine didn't grab me. I do like the off-white suit.

There are more examples I just didn't scan them all, there is a photoshoot that is 30's 40's inspired. If you like that style you might get through the pages at the grocery checkout they are on pages 502 through 517, or as I usually do, go to the library and peruse.

Oh, my! Those suits are gorgeous, just gorgeous. I may have to purchase this issue and I've never bought a copy of Vogue in my life.

The clothes are lovely, but the retro hair and makeup don't appeal to me.

Ooh, lovely. I shall definitely be looking out for 30s/40s inspired clothes and patterns (have already picked up a defiantly 30s cloche in M&S). Mind you, I already have a choice of clothes for going to work dressed as Harriet Vane so I am a shopping splurge waiting to happen.

lol Ok, I had to look it up, we get BBC America here but I've not seen Harriet Vane. She must be very fashionable.
