Date: 9/13/09 7:29 PM I have several heavy-weight sweatshirt-like cotton pullovers. These are the types of pull-overs found in many sports specialty shops and at resorts (often with logos or resort names embroidered or screened on them). This cotton is woven -- one side is like a very heavy (but soft) twill, the other side is a heavy cotton fleece -- not a knit or stretchy fabric.
I've yet to find a name for this fabric. Anyway, does anyone know a name or a source for this fabric?
Thanks, Pat ------ Patzee |

Date: 9/15/09 10:50 AM I believe sweatshirt fleece is the term used by fabric stores to describing what you're looking for. Fabric.com has quite a selection of solids and prints. The Fabric Fairy has some too, and her pictures show both the smooth and fleece side. |

Date: 9/15/09 1:23 PM Are you talking about French Terry? I've seen pullovers made with it. It's actually a knit but isn't stretchy. It has a smooth side and a fleecy side.

Date: 9/15/09 4:54 PM I think I need to see an example of these pullovers, because I'm having trouble picturing what you mean.
DH has a team baseball jersey pullover thing that's like a windbreaker material on the outside, and a mesh on the inside... that's the closest example I can think of, but it doesn't really sound like your description.
