Hi Everyone,

I hope I'm posting this in the correct section. I'm helping a friend sew a top for her dog run. Her dog run is huge and a very odd size so she can't use the ready-made ones out of the box. One of the things that I like about the read-made ones is that they have a UV coating on the fabric (dogs get skin cancer, too!). Does anyone know where I can purchase UV-coated fabric? I realize we can purchase some of the ready made ones and sew them together but I was hoping to find fabric that would work. I suspect that will be much cheaper and easier to work with.

Thanks in advance for any help you can provide.

Regards,
bexn

The Sunbrella brand fabric (which is sometimes used for awnings) has UV protection from what I am reading on the internet.

Here's an online source (I've never ordered from them), you can order samples.

And there's another fabric brand Coolaroo, which also says they're good for this application.

Good luck!

Thanks loti!

I think the on-line source you mentioned didn't make it in the posting. Would you please send it again?

Thanks again for all of your help!
