Date: 10/22/09 10:38 AM Does anyone use their Ipod touch to keep track of patterns in their stash? If so, what app do you use? I'm looking at the reviews of spreadsheets and it seems no one likes them or they only allow 15 rows. I don't need many columns, just rows. ------ Marilyn

Date: 10/22/09 6:48 PM I use HanDBase (a database program) to keep track of my fabric and projects. It has a lot of features which I haven't started to get into (like being able to link the fabric database to the project database). If you're looking for something simpler, I also like MyStuff.

Date: 10/24/09 7:58 PM Could one really keep track of their patterns on a Touch? Hmmmm...I may have to hijack one of my kid's. Tht would help with my duplicate pattern problem!

Date: 11/13/09 9:41 PM Marilyn, I've been using Bento. I've got fields including pattern number, what box it's stored in, type (top, skirt, pants etc), a photo, a link to PR reviews if available, where purchased, when and cost, and notes (fabric suggestions, thoughts on alterations, etc). You can include any fields you like, do a search based on any criteria and sych it with Bento on the Mac (if you have one).
I downloaded Bento specifically for my pattern stash, but I've been using it for lots of other stuff. I've started cataloging our books, I use it for renovation planning, as an address book and for recipes. ------ chris

Date: 1/9/10 2:55 PM Hi Marilyn,
I don't know if you've figured anything out for your quest, so I thought I'd let you know that I wrote a tip on using iPhoto and iPod for having a portable record of the pattern photos and for organizing my patterns. I don't know if that would work for you. Have you found an app? ------ Fictionfan |

Date: 4/6/10 2:00 AM Well, after looking through my Kwik Sews and seeing duplicates, I have decided I am desperate for an Ipod touch and a pattern application!
Anyone have any new info on this? Has Deepika been driven crazy with all the board drama that she has had no time to come up with something? I have to try and do something. I mean those $1.99 or 99 cent Joann's specials are one thing but when I get into the more expensive Kwik Sews etc, I need a safeguard to keep me from double buying!
Anyone?
BTW, I read the other day thatVerizon may have the Iphone by Christmas! YAY! ------ Brother ULT 2002D, Janome 6500P, Babylock Eclipse SX, Juki MO654DE, Janome Coverpro 1000CPX, Singer 15-91 |

Date: 4/6/10 6:06 AM While not for patterns, I find the app FabricStash quite useful for going around fabric shops as it integrates with the iPhone's camera really well. So you can just snap a photo in the store and it adds it to your in-app stash. ------ www.fehrtrade.com |
