as said in title and description box. what is your most favourite mordrn computerized or mechanical sewing machine and what feature(s) does it have to make you fall in love with that particular machine.
so far mine is the Brother Nx-200QE (same as PRW model PC-210 If correct).
The features i like about it are:

The needle position needle button (deciding wether to have it up or down).

Reverse stitch button

Needle threader definietly (you pull the lever down located at the side of the machine).

The space from the right of the needle.

the convenient box (which is attached to the machine its also dettachable when using freearm).

And how it's user friendly.

My 2 essential and favorite features are

Automatic Needle Threader and Drop in Bobbin
Hands down!

Nice to haves are: Up/Down Needle, Auto buttonholer, Auto thread cutter, Auto tack stitch.

I guess I don't really have a favorite machine. I just love all my Kenmores, because they never give me problems...

My favorite newer machine is my Kenmore 19606. I bonded with it immediately, and it just feels right to me. I love the sound it makes when I first turn it on.

I've never been that interested in decorative stitches, but I like many of the ones on the 19606. They have inspired me to make a few home dec projects, like a set of placemats and napkins, and some baby gifts.

The main things I love about the machine are the needle up/down feature, the electronic speed control, and the good selection of one-step buttonholes. Of course many newer machines have those same features, so the 19606 is not unique. However, the 19606 has a perfect combination everything I need, and it feels like a solid, well-made machine. I have other machines, but this machine is always my first choice nowadays.

I have a Viking D1 and a Kenmore 19110. I like the up-down needle control, the needle threader. On my D1 I have the thread cutter which is one of my favorites. I love the Kenmore machines due to their smooth sewing and cost efficient, but I would have to choose my Viking as my favorite. One thing I would change is the reverse as I like levers better than buttons as they are just easier for me to use. However I can speak only for these two machines as I have never owned any other and can't compare them to other machines. I do have a Brother industrial which I do most of regular sewing on.

My Pfaff 2048.

Needle up/down.
Built in walking foot that is easily flipped out of the way and its quiet.

But my Brother embroidery/sewing machine has an excellent button holes and thread cutting with a button. It also has needle up/down.

Pfaff 2027! That's mine! I love the IDT. It's a good solid machine. It's a workhorse. I also like the needle up/down with the foot pedal. For how I sew, it's perfect.

My Bernina Aurora 440QE closely followed by my Husq. D1.
What I love most about my Bernina...its wrap around white lighting-best I've ever used. Fantastic at night or dull days. I love its temporarily altered stitch memory-so I can tweak stitches, use something different and when I return to the original one selected it remembers what I did to it so long as machine is turned on.
I love how well the feet work, not a sideways wobble, and there are loads of specialty feet. So easy to change them too-and the easiest most effective walking foot I've ever used!
The stitches are so precise. Even the straight stitch is perfecly even and straight. The buttonhole system is easy and creates the most lovely buttonholes.
As a quilter I most love the vertically positioned CB hook system, perfect stitches on the back whilst I do wild things during freemotion quilting sessions.
Its also small things like perfectly wound bobbins that delight me- and of course, the knee lifter! I could rave on and on...
The D1 is my embroidery friend- with the module. But mine is floppy disk not usb stick...being older. Its now almost a problem with how modern computers are getting and its harder to find floppies to buy. It was a gift to me from husband 10 years ago and I still love it today. I learned to machine quilt and piece really well on this machine, very easy to use. Quality stitches. Strong motor for sewing all day and night. I love its exclusive sensor system for even feeding and adjusting the tension automatically with each stitch through thick and thin layers. I love its embroidery functions. Beautiful stitches built in- hundreds of them. And there are again many lovely buttonholes. I have a fairly huge swag of feet for this machine and have used them for many creative projects in the last decade. Its a solid but ageing machine.
Love them both madly.

No Janome? Singer, Pfaff, and Viking are, since 2006, the same company. (Not to imply that the machines are the same.)
