Cutting skirt pattern designed for bias on straight grain?? Help plz, sewing Xmas present today ...

Pattern is Kwik Sew 3097. Fabric is silk chiffon. Which I wouldn't want to attempt on bias anyway, but also the fabric's pattern should not be bias. The pattern is essential for this Christmas present, so I cannot change the fabric. Or should I use a skirt pattern designed for straight grain? I'm sewing a simple, elastic casing 2-layer skirt with visible lining. Surely that must be in my stash, but I like the full look of this KS skirt. Thanks!! ------ Deb Your time has come to shine. You may end up with a skirt that just hangs straight down without the pretty drape-y look. Also, measure the flat pattern. I may pull out a pattern with straighter side seams designed for straight grain.
