I am just begining my future daughter in laws wedding dress. Does any one have any suggestions for the best website for fabrics, including lace and silk? This isn't my first wedding dress but I don't want to spend the time going to the fabric store if I can buy it online.

What about Lace Star? They have some beautiful stuff but nothing is going to be inexpensive. And unless you're going to go there you will need to know exactly what you want. However, you might be able to get a trip to New York or Miami out of it!

Britex Fabrics in San Francisco just opened an e-commerce site, and among other things they are selling lace trims: http://www.shopbritexnotions.com

Trims include Alencon lace so I thought I'd mention it. Their prices are high but the quality of their fabrics is unsurpassed. This is where I bought the lace for my wedding-dress-in-progress...

Buttons and Bolts is going out of business and has six pages of lace for 75% off. From what I've heard, they mainly sold bridal fabric.

Tien

They also have the most gorgeous silk ribbons on line as well.

Britex is where my DD got her trim for her wedding dress and the silk ribbon for the flower girl's dress.

For something special that website is well worth checking out.
