Date: 1/30/10 2:39 PM For anyone who likes this kind of stuff. I needed to oil three of my machines and decided to make a little video of the process. The Necchi Supernova, Singer 500a (Rocketeer), and a Japanese made Dressmaker. All machines from the late 50s. Seems to fit here in the vintage board but I suppose it could go under sewing machines as well.

Date: 2/3/10 8:43 PM For some reason, this was really inspiring and fun to watch.
I was so inspired that I cleaned and oiled my three machines, then I called my mother and told her to round up her old machines that she never uses, so I could come over and oil them too! :P (She's got one 1970's machine that "doesn't work" but I'm wondering if it just needs some oil....) ------

Date: 2/4/10 11:18 PM Fantastic videos and a reminder I have some machine maintenance to do.
And I should probably moisturize more often. ------ You'll be in stitches at malepatternboldness.com! |

How do you like your Dressmaker? I have an opportunity to snag one from the same era for $15. I don't need it, but it would be a fun addition if it's a good machine. ------ Brother CE-500PRW, Singer 347,Singer 413, Singer 66, Singer 404, Singer 4622, Electrogrand,
