Date: 2/8/10 8:13 PM I can believe my luck! I feel that I just won the lottery! I found in great condition, a Centennial 201, complete with cabinet and vintage stump chair.
I am picking it up tomorrow so it is not a done deal but I told them I was serious. My guess is that it will need rewiring but the seller says the wire is clean, no visible cracks. I guess it is possible to have decent original wire. They say there are gadgets included but they could not tell me which ones. My hope is that inside the desk there is a plethora of fine attachments like a zig-zagger and buttonholer. I am so excited I want to play hooky from work just so I can go get it sooner.
I won't tell you how much they are asking... you have to guess! ------ Janome MC6600 Bernina 240 Juki MO735 Singer 201-2 Singer 221-1 Singer 15-91 |

Date: 2/8/10 8:38 PM $50! Soolip I was hoping you would pop your head in... Isn't that the same cabinet you refinished last year? ------ Janome MC6600 Bernina 240 Juki MO735 Singer 201-2 Singer 221-1 Singer 15-91 |

Date: 2/8/10 9:28 PM It's not the Singer bench but a Stravaria stump style chair... she looked under the pad of the chair while I was on the phone. She clearly doesn't know the gold mine this is... She was able to describe several 'green Singer boxes with metal pieces and gears" she did not even know what to call the bobbin!!!! She kept calling the reels filled with thread. ------ Janome MC6600 Bernina 240 Juki MO735 Singer 201-2 Singer 221-1 Singer 15-91 |

Date: 2/8/10 9:47 PM How exciting!!! You know, that cough you have needs to be taken care of...and you don't want to infect co-workers. Best if you don't go into work tomorrow.

Congratulations!
I did a trade out of a very basic cabinet for a bentwood case for my 99K. I had no idea - for YEARS - what was in the container in that case... a small book and one attachment after another... which I never used. I had no idea of the value or potential! I was thinking of selling the machine but should keep it just to give those parts/attachments a whirl!
Enjoy your new baby. And sick day ------ Karen

Date: 2/8/10 10:11 PM The 99k is a sweet little machine. If it has boxes of attachments then you too have a gold mine. ------ Janome MC6600 Bernina 240 Juki MO735 Singer 201-2 Singer 221-1 Singer 15-91 |
