Its the embroidery one that usually retails for 1200. Just thought I would pass it on. What a deal.

That's fantastic!
Was it a clearance, or a mistake or something? That's an amazing deal! Way to go!

The salesperson said that the model was being discontinued.

That's one heck of a clearance price. I'm more inclined to think that someone at Sears screwed up.

Wow, what a deal, makes me want to run to sears right now!

ETA: I just checked online to see if any of my sears had any in stock and they're all out of stock! I guess no one could pass up that kind of deal

JoyRainbow, Did you buy it in store or online? I have been checking the sears.com and the searsoutlet.com every day since Susee found hers for $99, and I have found nothing. I went to the 2 Sears stores near me and all they had was the low-end very basic machines in stock. If you got it in store, did they have any more and do you mind telling me the name of the mall/location? I would be happy to pay shipping to have one sent to me. I just checked the link you provided and it shows $approx $1200.00.

I just checked with a few Sear stores and they are on clearance. Not too many left to be found. I was quoted $432 at one store, $800 something at another than the last store I talked with told me $300 something
The last store I asked the sales person WHY I am quoted all these different prices and he said it is up to the manager on clearance items and how long they have been sitting around, etc. On line it doesn't show a clearance price at all.... so if you have a Sears by you it wouldn't hurt to check them out. I didn't find any in the $125 range so you got an unbelievable dealEnjoy!

I think these sudden low prices at a few stores do indicate the machine is being clearanced out. Because of that, I'm sure more Sears stores will begin dropping the prices on them over the next couple of months. So there may be some fabulous deals coming up. By the way, I love the one I bought last week. It's pretty much the same machine as the Janome 9500, but the Kenmore has the full color touch screen like the 9700.

ETA -- RadarRadiance, I see you are in Nevada. I just checked Searsoutlet.com, and the Las Vegas Sears store on Grand Canyon Dr. has one for $234. That could be one to keep your eyes on. They might be getting ready to cut that price in half any day now.

I bought it at the regular Sears store. I think I will give it to my daughter. I have been looking for a nice machine for her, and this sure beats in quality the others I have been looking at. I already have several Janomes so I can give her some of the missing attachments. It does have the hoop so she is ready to go with that.
