We've gotten more denials on some of our health care charges.

We've gotten notification that the new government health care bill will cover what our insurance covers, and therefore not to compete, those coverages will no longer be covered. We will have to apply to the goverment health care.

Yes, it's just what we all wanted.

I'm sure as long as you have a soft blanket or your blouse has a nursing opening you could breastfeed anywhere. I breastfed all of my boys in the open, in a quiet area, and no one really noticed us.

I would like to think most people are angry because it's more of a Health *Insurance* Bill instead of a Heath *Care* Bill.

Anyway, a thread with both the Healthcare Bill AND breastfeeding in it? PLACE YOUR BETS: how long before it gets out of hand and is deleted?

Well, you might be right.
I do hope people will ask their drs. business office to please check with the insurance to see if things will be covered, and do it on a continual basis as this bill takes effect. Surprises are not always pleasant or at the right time.

I'm thinking by the time it reaches the middle of page 2. :/

Or, at the very least, if not deleted then delayed posting.

Don't forget the politics ... Obama was brought into it too.

And that's all I have to say about any of these topics. I'm going to go sew and enjoy my warm sunny weekend.

I'm a registered nurse, who also used drs. who were pro breastfeeding. I pumped and breastfed. I'm late 40's, and I know no one that I know of has looked badly at any woman breastfeeding their baby in public, especially with all that we know, that it's good for the baby. I think the problems are with moms that use breastfeeding as a means to show parts of their body as an attention getter, or moms that used motherhood as a means to become more relaxed at work.

When I worked I pumped. I also froze ahead. My babies did not go to work with me. My husband and I had to have different shifts to provide daycare coverage for our children. I have witnessed the other senerios, and my husband and I both would look at each other, the wall, the ceiling, other people to not give those mothers any attention, and leave the area as soon as possible.

My only point was to say hey they are finally taking breast feeding seriously. That was my only point.

True. But while *you're* not trying to be controversial and being positive in attitude, others that come along might not. :/

This was about breast feeding only in response to that other topic we had.

Again, true. But remember how *that* thread turned out. Mainly because of the people that will come along and not necessarily take it the same way you intended it. :/

Not trying to be a jerk, here. Just saying that no matter *what* you say, there *will* be people who take it the wrong way ~ especially if it can be connected to something controversial (politics and government policy, especially).

But then, you could say "Sure is a nice, sunny day today!" and you'd have people (like my MIL, for one) who'll say it looks like rain.
