I have bought a pattern (Burda 7913) which judging by the model pic I assumed was made with a woven buuuut now reading the recomended fabrics, it says
Viscose Rayon, Jersey
note the comma, as Googling Viscose Rayon gives me a woven type fabric, but there is also 'viscose rayon jersey' fabric so I'm confused :/ is this a pattern that can be made with a woven and a jersey or is the comma a mistake??

That is confusing, isn't it? I read it as you can use either viscose/rayon (woven) OR a jersey; it's a bit of an odd combination. What are you thinking of using? Very cute dress BTW.

This is a cute dress and it looks to me like you could use a lightweight woven or a knit, as the dress is not very fitted, has a blouson waist, and two soft ruffles as the skirting.

Here's a review by narcissaqtpie Burda 7913 where she used a thicker stable (not too stretchy) knit and the finished dress looks great. So, yes, it seems that you can successfully use either a lightweight woven or a knit for this style. --Lily

Ooh I hope I can use the woven as jersey is really limited here. I have a really light weight semi sheer woven in a slightly darker grey than the pic that I bought just for this b4 I realised it might only be for knits! (3.25 meters for that dress believe it or not!)
Though the neck is pretty wide and the waist elasticated so I think I'm gonna give the woven a whirl!
Thx guys
