Have a look at McKenna Linn's site.
I'm pretty sure Ed Lameroux has taken down his Necchi page, but his blog may still have some info. ------ chris

Date: 5/15/10 12:16 PM The styling of the two machines is similar.
The Mirella (if I remember right) only offers straight and zig-zag -- but it also offers a built-in handcrank for non-electric operation.
The Lydia is a more modern machine with multiple stitches (although not that many) -- both machines are mechanicals, not computerized. The Lydia uses plastic gears and a camshaft.
Typically, a Mirella will go for several times as much as a Lydia on Ebay -- the Mirella's are much more uncommon (and therefore desirable as collectibles). You may see Lydia's in the $50 to $100 range, while Mirella's go in the $200 to $300 range.
