Hi all.

In my new found excitement about vintage machines, I've found an Pfaff 92 that is for sale about an hour away from me.

I've never heard of this model. It doesn't look industrial but seems to be a sturdy grey metal from the pictures.

I've done a google and asked on the Pfaff group but i'm getting nowhere. Does anyone know anything about this machine. Is it a workhorse?

I'm getting into sewing vintage leather clothing so I want a machine that stands up to the job.

Thanks everyone
Shirley

In Yahoo Groups there is Old Pfaff Forum
I am sure you can find something or someone there that can help you.

Hi Koo.

Yes i'm a member of that group as I have an old Pfaff 130. I've looked in the history and theres nothing about it. Also nothing on Google. I'm really surprised actually, surely its not that rare?

The Pfaff 92 was manufactured in Germany around 1963.
There is one for sale on eBay Austria. Please scroll down to view the pictures here.
It doesn't have the IDT(Integrated Dual Transport).
The Pfaff 92 is a domestic sewing machine, not an industrial sewing machine.

Thank you that helps loads.

So the motor is in the machine. I've looked at that many vintage machines recently I was expecting it to be on the outside.

From the pictures it looks like a good strong machine. It also uses cams, I wonder if they come with it. Well lots of info to get me going. I do appreciate it.

Hello,

I've just bought a Pfaff 92 and am having some difficulty finding any information about them. It looks like a good sturdy machine, though I'm going to get it tuned up. Do you use yours? Do you like it?
