Because I know you'll be more excited for me than DH,

Oh, Oh, OH!!! I just spent $82 buying fabric at a small factory. And I conservatively figure I got $1282 WORTH of wools (40 yards), silks (20 yards) and linens (20 yards)and some very nice probably poly that I argued with the seller on silk or poly (23 yards) and bolts of black stretch twill, navy twill and teal lt wt poplin.

It was past their closing time, I was about out of cash, and I was tired, so I quit shopping and came home to measure and tally. Oh, my, I think I'll have to go back there tomorrow! I bought lots, maybe the best, but there was still plenty of nice stuff....

What's been your best find?

WOW!!! How do you find the factory? When I was a kid, we walked past a lace factory to get to school. My mother would go through their trash and bring home the bolt ends to sew up into drapes.

I was pretty pumped yesterday at picking up Sandra Betzina's Power Sewing book for $2.47 at the Salvation Army yesterday. But that seems like nothing compared to Amy-May's fabric score! wow.

Ok, that is seriously impressive!

Gosh and I thought my $1.34 Vera Wang fabric was a buy.

Use to get Waverly Home Dec for l.00 per yard..plus l0 percent more off if you bought the bolt. We are talking the chintzes and the toiles and the others as well. Alas, no more.. but it was fun at the time..

Amy-may - do share your magic factory! And here I thought I got a super deal...
Yesterday I went to the Crate and Barrel outlet to check out their Marimekko prints at 4.95 a yard. I noticed a barrel to the side that had remnants @ .95cents. I thought it was .95 a piece! Here I am digging and digging and there are cuts for 2-3-4 yards. Turns out it was .95/lb! I got about 10+yds of Marimekko (7 different cuts) for 2.85 + tax!

My best deals remain the Kenmore 19606 I got on closeout, and the $1.99 Vera Wang fabrics. Nothing so exciting as your magical factory!
