Date: 6/15/10 7:11 PM people are just snobby and nasty. Why do people on here have to be so nasty? Cant they just shut up with their comments, keep it to themselves and have some self respect?
I wont be leaving anymore reviews.

Date: 6/15/10 7:19 PM When a person wants to leave the rating, "needs more info", the system requests a reason. This is not necessarily anything personal against the reviewer. I'm sorry that you are uncomfortable, because when I looked at your reviews, I saw several positive comments thanking you for the helpful review. ------ Fabric Purchased in 2011: 37 yards

Date: 6/15/10 8:12 PM I understand your feelings. I did see an odd comment. Those people are in the minority, but they do stand out. Take care. |

Date: 6/15/10 8:17 PM Sometimes wry humor doesn't come across online. Perhaps the person who left a comment on your review was sincerely wanting more information. For example, I might have said "well, that tells me a lot" face to face and you would probably smile because of my silly expression. Sounds like you are a little hurt and could use a hug Why don't you contact the person via PM and ask what they meant? ------ my blog: http://kf-biblioblog.blogspot.com/

Date: 6/15/10 8:48 PM In looking at all the reviews for your two reviews, most of them were pretty kind and supportive. If you can, I'd suggest looking at it as a reflection of life; most of your experiences with people will be good, but some will be upsetting..... that's the time to take a deep breath, throw your shoulders back, and as Bill Murray once famously said, "it just doesn't matter"! -- Edited on 6/15/10 8:51 PM -- ------ Viking Lily 545

Date: 6/15/10 8:57 PM I looked at your reviews too and didn't find any comments that I thought were off key or nasty. I hope that you'll keep reviewing. I think that it's a helpful process that makes you examine what and why a pattern worked or didn't for you. ------ www.nancyksews.blogspot.com |

Date: 6/15/10 9:09 PM Your enthusiasm is wonderful. Don't let anyone rain on your parade. Please keep writing your reviews. You've been a member for much less time than I and have posted 6 reviews (patterns, books, sms) so you have me beat. And, you also have contrbuted more than your critic.
At the age of 61, I still rely on my mom's words of wisdom. She would probably have told me not to let my critic beat me & she would have been right.
Enthusiasm is infectious and good to share. Please continue..... ------ "We don't see things as they are, we see them as we are." Anais Nin

Date: 6/15/10 9:28 PM Hi RockNRock. Are you referring to the comment on your book review. Yes, it was on the snarky side and written by someone very new who may not have gotten the hang of the site yet. But every other person found your reviews very helpful. You have to decide if you want to give one negative person so much power over your life. I personally hope you choose not.
Peace. -- Edited on 6/15/10 9:30 PM -- ------ My hope is to sew to the very end. They'll find my head slumped over my precious Kenmore 19606 and have to pry the seam ripper from my cold, dead hands. |

Date: 6/15/10 9:37 PM One other comment: I posted a review of a jacket I wasn't very happy with once, and I got a comment that was both hurtful and hilarious: it was about my choice of a cheap, shoddy fabric, and how could I expect to get a result that wasn't also cheap and shoddy... or words to that effect. I was kind of taken aback... after all, the fabric wasn't that bad, and it was completely suitable for trying out the pattern, so if the end result was that bad, was it really my choice of fabric? But, the point is that she was off base..... and although it did bother me, it was far more about her than about anything that I had done. If someone's bad nature takes over, please don't be a victim of their callousness. ------ Viking Lily 545
