Date: 7/30/10 7:53 PM I love the draped lapels on this jacket: Tomasina from Anthropologie. Does anyone know of a pattern with similar design?

Date: 7/30/10 8:54 PM You might start with Butterick 5472.
B5472
It has a looser fit, but the lapel shape is there.. ------ 2009-113.25 yds
2010-115.5
2011-80.25+30+donated
2012 86.3 yds..
2013 21.0

Date: 7/30/10 9:09 PM Marfy F9823 shows a lapel like this on a wrap jacket. Marfy F1607 shows a shorter version of this lapel style. You can access the Marfy catalog through the Vogue or Butterick pattern websites (I never have figured out how to add a link ). However, Marfy patterns only come in one size without the picture or instructions and pattern markings are very minimal. So if you do decide to order it, make sure to download the picture and instructions at the same time. ------ Land of the free because of the brave.

Date: 7/30/10 11:32 PM I think I recognize the bodice and arm shape - Vogue 1042 looks close. I believe the side panels are cut on bias, giving it that wonderful shape. Vogue 1042 |

Date: 7/30/10 11:56 PM wow,
very nice and both the butterick and vogue patterns are great starting points. I would buy both and work on merging them. You will have to do several muslins to get it right but it's possible.
How nice that our sewing sisters recommended the perfect pattern.

Date: 8/2/10 11:55 AM The jacket immediately reminded me of this Vogue DKNY pattern, though the jacket above has much cleaner lines and a more tailored look: Vogue 1042 ------ I rip what I sew. |

Date: 8/5/10 2:33 PM That's funny - I actually posted the wrong link! I didn't mean to repost the one from above; I wanted to suggest checking out the lapels on this one: Vogue 2923. I agree that the other one is a better starting point for the jacket, though. ------ I rip what I sew. |
