I kept getting reminders to renew my Burda Plus. I can wear them if I grade the upper body down, the bottom is fine. So, finally I caved and renewed it along with my regular Burda. In the past several years the Plus issue has been new patterns. Not so the fall issue. I couldn't find the thread that was discussing this issue where we discussed the preview. I read the French websites description and sure enough it seemed, in my rusty hs French, to say that it was a compilation of the last few months of plus sizes from the regular magazine. I sent it to my dd who speaks French. Yeah I was right, that's what it is. It isn't clear on how far back they've gone; it's kind of vague, but it isn't new. I will be selling my issues when they come I guess, or maybe I'll see if I can cancel my subscription.

Well, that is what it says, but this only seems to apply to three of the five sections -- this gets clarified in the information on the German site. Two of the sections are apparently new, and IMO are quite nice.

Here's the thread you were looking for:

I assume you read German. Alex said that it was rather vague about what months were actually covered. I agree that a couple of the sections did seem new.

I do read a bit of German, but I apologize -- I made this assumption (that it had been clarified on the German site) based on a comment someone posted in that other thread. I've scanned the German information more closely now, and unless they've buried it in the blurbs somewhere, in German they don't seem to mention that any of this is a rehash. In French it clearly implies that the whole issue is a rehash. Weird. I wonder what's going on at Burda these days.

I used to get the Plus issues for the bottoms, too, and just recently went on an austerity kick and let my subscription lapse. Looks like my timing was good, but I'm sorry to see this happen if it means there will be fewer new plus-size patterns in the magazines.

I can't believe I'm reading this. From what you say, these people are
taking you good people's money for a new product which is actually
an old product and expect you to accept it because of who they are.
That's horrible! Sorry to dip into this thread but this stuff makes me
nuts. I'm in the oversize category and it's bad enough to not be
afforded what others get for granted.

If I had a subscription to them, I would write the editor and let them
know they are crooks and to refund my hard earned money.

Once again, please excuse the dip but stuff like this is not right.

Don't apologize I'm pretty angry about it. Considering that we can't see this on an English language site anymore it's doubly annoying.

Has anyone actually received their Fall Burda issue yet? It normally arrives around now. Since Burda got rid of their site (I don't consider Burdastyle Burda's site) I haven't seen any of the previews since I don't understand German, Russian or French was just hoping that the actual copies were in the mail so we could see for ourselves what patterns are actually in the magazine.

Double for me. I just received my Burda Plus Fall 2010 and it is a rip-off and a bit insulting/

Like they could not bother to take time drafting patterns for us plus girls - but had no problem selling a plus magazine!

This issue is just some of the plus patterns, with the same photos from the regular Burda magazine during the past year. So consider it recycled (or in my book OLD) fashion.

I had been subscribing to both - SO I paid twice for the same patterns. Needless to say I am cancelling my subscriptions.

Us plus girls get no respect.

There are actually two new sections of new patterns. True, only two of the five sections are new, but altogether there are maybe 10-12 new patterns. Not nearly as many as usual, of course, but some of them are very nice.
