I am planning on making these as office gifts (perhaps with an initial)
http://www.thinkgeek.com/gadgets/cellphone/9d5f/?cpg=froogle

I am going to skip the lining and zipper and perhaps use small plastic pellets used for dolls.

I found a pattern that I think will work once I figure out the diameter of the circles I need to cut.

Adorable! I wonder if you could fill them with rice, and they can double as microwavable hand warmers?
Thanks for the link to the free pattern!

Or put them in your shoes on chilly winter mornings to warm the shoes up before you put your feet in them! Or put them in your socks while you're in the shower to warm the socks up before you put them on.

Cute idea but don't make it out of the same stuff that they did "Nylon shell filled with styrofoam beads" which would cause static electricity and may damage your phone or other electronics. Obviously the person who designed it knows very little about electronics.

I just stumbled upon this discussion from a few years ago. I was looking for a stand for my new larger cell phone, as my older stand is now too small. I printed out the pdf from http://www.budget101.com/crafts/fcp2.htm, printed it using the 'actual size' setting, and cut out the adult bean bag pattern. I cut six from cotton fabric and sewed them together using a 1/4 inch seam. Then I sewed straight across the top/smaller end. I cut a circle of fabric approx 3-3/4 inch diameter and sewed to the bottom, leaving an opening. I used orzo pasta to fill the bag about 3/4 full. I hand-stitched the hole closed. Next time, I will use fusible stabilizer on all pieces, especially the bottom circle; maybe leave a straight section open for filling rather than on the circle; use small dried beans for filling, although the pasta works fine (it was all I had available.). I did not use a lining, but I could make another bag using leather/vinyl/etc and put the cotton one inside. This went together very quickly. It could potentially be a good quick gift idea.
