Doesn't look like there are many knitters here! I love making garments of all kinds and that includes knitting and crocheting. In fact I am much more skilled at knitting than sewing. Guess I'll mosey on back to Ravelry to get my knitting fix!

I'm better at knitting than sewing too!

But I agree Ravelry is probably a better place - it's too hot in Georgia to knit right now!

Ravelry is where it's at, though the commercial site knitpicks.com has excellent resources and ideas, as does knitty.com

There are sometimes very nice knitting conversations at artisanssquare.com, but it also is primarily a sewing site.

I think ravelry is where it's at for knitters . Do check out knitty.com, I think I heard the advice on ravelry to go through their back issues and read the articles. I've been doing it slowly, because the detail and information that is available in those articles is really really good.

I'm a knitter too, but I don't think the majority at PR are into knitting. But I'd love to hear about what people are working on at the present time! It's too hot here in MA also for any big knitting projects.

I'm not a big knitter. I knit a bit (or crochet.) I'm currently working on a scarf with 3 cables. It's something to do.

I would love to learn to knit more. I love the "idea" of being a knitter more than I am a knitter.

I'm a better knitter than a sewer. I've been knitting for 6 years, and sewing for 6 months. I am desparate to have the skill of a sewer of six years, it's so frustrating to be a noob again! But I keep on forcing myself to stick to it cause the only way to get there is to sew for another 5.5 years...

PS I'm a raveller also, socksnjumpersrock for the record. I'm a member of sew obsessed and the LSG sewing circle there.

I too knit. Unfortunately my skills haven't come up to my wants;) I want something fast and complicated looking but nothing that takes a lot of time and is a challenge. Silly huh?!

I'm a knitter (my first post here is on knitting, not sewing!).

I've been knitting since the end of Feb. and am currently working on a lace-front top for my daughter, a wrap top thingee for myself and a simple fan-and-feather lap blanket for a housewarming gift.

I just started crocheting.

I've decided to start sewing partly because my grandmother-in-law gave me her beautiful Singer 15-91. She's also the one that started me on knitting and crocheting. Wonderful woman! :)
