Date: 8/23/10 10:08 AM Have you been checking the classified ads here? I have found some really lovely fabrics being sold by members there.
If you mean like muslin for backing ...Hobby Lobby now has online shopping & their prices for muslin are very good IMO, plus you can use the weekly coupons too & usually shipping is free if over $25.00 purchases. I hope this helps.
I like to quilt too...but just basic basic quilts. I started using cotton thread for it & find it has a finer stitch...what about you what thread are you using?
Thanks for writing in....nice to hear from you.... ------ I am a gal from Kalamazoo.... oh what a gal... smile.... It is in Michigan... la la la ...love that Glen Miller classic!

Date: 8/23/10 4:01 PM Are you looking for quilting websites? I used to hang out on the forums at quilting.about.com - lots of block and fabric exchanges there and a lot of members with great expertise. I'm sure there are tons more out there - I suspect there are a lot more quilters than garment sewers, at least based on the magazines available on the newsstand. ------ I've moved! Date: 8/23/10 5:18 PM Thanks so much for replying back. I live in On.Canada but there is a Hobby Lobby in NewYork near one of my relatives,so I'll check it out . About using cotton threads, I love using Aurifil. They are strong ,colours great, and very little fuz balls that occur under the throad plate. |

Date: 8/23/10 5:23 PM Thanks Laura . It's hard to find reputable websites that I could buy fabrics for quilting. So, I will check out quilting about com and spend q couple hours there. I wish there was a site like patternreview jusy for quilters. But, this site is one of the best don't you think so. |

Date: 8/23/10 5:46 PM Yes. You should be deeply ashamed and embarrassed. Say 100 Hail Marys daily for a year and sew yourself a veil. You MIGHT be forgiven. |

Date: 8/23/10 6:01 PM Hahahahahaha---that is so funny.
Kitchen Cook, we have mostly garment sewers here, but also some quilters and comedians. I would imagine that it would be a lot easier to find quilting sites than sewing ones as has been mentioned. There used to be a lot of sewing shows on TV; now it seems that all are quilting ones, even Sewing With Nancy. :(
Do a Google or Yahoo search for them. ------ I have not yet begun to procrastinate |
