We are excited to announce our first ever PR Workshop with Kenneth King in Lowell, MA on November 5th, 6th, 7th.

If you've ever wanted to make your own Moulage (sloper/muslin), now's your chance to learn from the Master himself.

In this 3-day workshop being held at the American Textile History Museum in the historic town of Lowell, MA we will take our measurements and draft our own Moulage. Space is limited in this workshop so register now!

Fee: $399 ($359 for Friends of PR and ATHM members)

For members who have signed up for the class

Supply List
-------------
-Drafting ruler--the clear plastic one with 1/8 grid ruled in red is fine
-Drafting square
-French curve
-Pencils--graphite #2, as well as 2 or 3 colored pencils, plus eraser
-3-4 yards white kraft paper, at least 30 wide, for drafting
-Tape measure
-2 yards elastic, 1/2 wide
-1 piece of chain, or limp cord for delineating the neck during measuring
-2 yards muslin, and a 30 separating zipper to make up the pattern, and all your sewing supplies, like scissors and thread
-Dual tracing wheel and carbon paper
-Sewing machine (please let us know if you are unable to bring your sewing machine).

You are required to wear a leotard or other tight- fitting garment, with the desired foundation garments, on Friday (the first day of the class). This facilitates accurate measuring.

Venue
The class will take place in the beautiful Textile History Museum in Lowell MA.

http://www.athm.org/

The museum is located at 491 Dutton St, Lowell, MA. There is free parking at the Museum.

I'll update with more info on Hotels and Restaurants.

Is there a time frame for the three days? I'm trying to figure out about commuting time added to class time.

I've done the moulage on my own and I highly recommend this class. I would have loved to have him right there to answer all my questions. Sign up if you can. Too bad it's on the wrong side of the country for me.

I'm in! I sent DH an email asking if we could afford it, and this was his reply:

''It is expensive, but it's something you are passionate about and take seriously. I say go for it!''

Is this guy a keeper, or WHAT?! Of course, it could just be a ploy to make me feel guilty enough to start - and finish - the shirt I've promised him.

Subject: Moulage CD Date: 9/27/10 10:59 AM

Is the CD included in this class or do we need to purchase it separately? Will we need it for the class? Really looking forward to this! Kenneth is such a fabulous teacher.

Deepika,

I will be unable to bring my sewing machine. Will we be able to rent/borrow one? I am so excited for this class!
