Hi this is my first post so please bear with me if this topic has already been addressed. I have some really comfortable jeans purchased fron Coldwater Creek and would like to know if one can buy this type of fabric and where. The fabric is a knit that actually looks like denim and is 96% cotton and 4% lycra. I would love to purchase some if I could only find it. Thanks in advance.

Yes that kind of looks like the fabric. The fabric these jeans are made out of is so nice and comfy I don't think I'm going to like my old jeans anymore. May have to order some of that EOS fabric. Thanks for your reply!

I have those Coldwater Creek knit denim jeans in chocolate brown and they are fabulous. They wear really, really well and don't bag which was something I was worried about. They've been my go-to jeans since March when I bought them on a trip to Phoenix.

I've been meaning to order some samples so I can see how close the fabrics at EOS and Gorgeous are to the Coldwater Creek jeans.

Both of the fabrics suggested (EOS and Gorgeous Fabrics) are advertised for jean leggings OR a knit top. Therefore, I feel pretty certain that both fabrics would be much too lightweight for jeans. You want something more akin to bottomweights for your jeans. --Lily

Thanks everyone for your replies. The Coldwater Creek jeans are fairly substantial, not as heavy as a stiff type 14oz denim but not super lightweight either. Just a really nice weight and stretchy knit that seems to hold it's shape really well. The stuff is fabulous in that it doesn't look like a knit at all. I have a good Burda jeans pattern that I have tweaked the daylights out of that I would love to try sewing in this knit fabric. May have to send for samples from the sites you have all mentioned.
