When I was shopping at a fabric store in Germany a couple weeks ago, I saw a fashion / pattern magazine I hadn't seen before. It's called My Image, and is published in 4 languages all in the same magazine. Their website is www.myimagemagazine.nl. Although primarily for women, they had a couple girls patterns as well. I bought a copy (cost is 4.95 Euros each), and have already made a top from one of the patterns. This is apparently their first edition. What I like about it is that they show you each pattern several times in different fabrics - great for getting lots of ideas. I don't read Dutch, the English translation leaves a little bit to be desired but is still managable - I found the German translation to be more accurate than the English. I think they intend to publish a couple times per year. Nothing they showed looked too complicated to sew - just cute, fashionable clothes which were pretty easy to make.

Just wanted to share for those who are on the prowl for something new....

Thanks! It looks nice. I didn't renew my Burda subscription. I just found I didn't make much from it as I hate grading up (mostly d/t not being good at it) and then they recycled all the plus patterns for burda plus (which I still get).

Cool! I am going to have to get my hands on one of these! From the wee glimpse afforded on the website, the pattern sheets are actually readable, rather than a jumbled mass of lines :)

The pattern sheets are indeed readable. The paper is really a white background, and each project is color coded so it's easy to tell which is which.

I found their sizing to be similiar to Ottobre. I usually sew a 40 in Ottobre, and I sewed a 40 from this magazine and it fit well.

I love that they post the drawings of the garments on the same page as the fashion photos (at least for online browsing). Very nice. And intriguing. I might just have to get it.

Thank you.

Oh, I love it! I see they're also going to have a kids' version of the magazine starting in January. ...And they'll even make you a personalized pattern!!

As soon as I have a bit of spare cash to start buying myself things again, I am definitely ordering this magazine. Thanks for telling us about it!

Thanks! This looks interesting. I don't see any sizes in the sneak peak. What is the size range of the patterns?

Sizes 36 to 44 are included in the magazine fold-outs. On their website however, it says that they will print you any pattern you want for any size which is in their size table (34 to 48) by special order even if your size is not included in the magazine. You can avoid grading if you wish....
