Date: 10/6/10 3:44 PM Help! I have made a lined vest, but cannot work out how to turn it the right way round. Everything I do just makes another twisted mess. I have stitched all round but left the 2 side seams on the lining open. Instructions (BWOF) state to pull the fronts through the shoulders into the back, but this just doesn't work, I just seem to keep going round and round in a big twisted circle. Have I stitched up too many seams? The problem seems to be the shoulders/armholes, but I just don't know what to unpick to free everything up. |

Date: 10/6/10 4:01 PM Vest Lining Strategies Tip (PR), by PhyllisC, A nice description of how to turn the lining, as you have it sewn.
I like to use the method from More Power Sewing, pg 34 (Sandra Betzina), but it requires a slightly different sewing order/technique. I refer to the book every time I do this; I don't have it memorized. Since you've already sewn your vest together, try the PR Tip above first.
