I will be attending because my husband has relatives in Puyallup and also northern CA we visit. Isn't that a shame?

I had tentatively planned on it this year, but I'll be out of town on business

I'm only going to be able to attend ONE DAY of the local sewing expo...I've had to eliminate SO many seminars from my list....waaahhhhh

Hmmmm, when is it this year?

I might go. Felix is old enough and such a good baby that taking him wouldn't be a bother.

I'll have to look into this !!

Maybe we could plan a mini PR Get Together?

I'm going to miss Puyallup this year -- I've gone each of the last 3 years, & I've loved it! I've heard it said that it is the biggest & the best sewing expo in the country & I believe it! The thing is, I'm still having to take care of the foot I broke last Aug., & that event is a lot of walking in cold sometimes drizzly or rainy weather on hard cement & similar surfaces.

The good news is, I'm still working out of an incredible stash of materials, patterns & notions I've accumulated. (Mostly from that very incredible source!) I would urge any fiber artist who has the opportunity to attend to do so -- I can say without fear of contradiction the entire industry is there & the classes, demos, trunk shows & style shows are outstanding! The major expense is lodging & if you have to fly, transportation. But, I'm going to spend that long weekend sewing & taking care of my foot. Then, we'll just see about 2006!

I think a little PR get-together would be great fun! I'm going to try and attend if everything works out okay. It looks like the dates are from March 3-6, but I couldn't see much else yet on the website about speakers, seminars, etc.

I got a pamphlet at a fabric shop with the seminar descriptions and classes, etc. so I know they are available. I want to go - I have never been to anything like this and I will probably never be able to travel anywhere else to attend something like this. I live in western Washington so if I can arrange transportation maybe I can meet some of you!

flowermama- you'll really enjoy it - there are usually many many interesting booths full of all sorts of great stuff - notions, buttons, laces, fabrics, patterns etc. Usually Threads magazine has a booth with a rack of the clothes they have featured in the past year or so - I love going up and studying how the pieces were constructed. I'll probably go on the Friday because I'm going to be busy that Saturday with a class at UW.

Expo!! I am so excited! I am one of the ladies with the green ribbons on working the seminars. I know I will be working Thurs, Fri, Sat, but I don't know where yet. This will be my sixth year, I think! More details later.
