I'm totally out of the loop on fashion, so maybe this idea is everywhere or even passť, but I thought other people might be interested in this one I just saw at etsy seller annapopovich (NAYY):
She took red velvet Liberty of London ribbon and sewed it at each side of the teeth, dressing up the zipper while still leaving the exposed look. Seems like you could play around with this idea in a lot of different ways.

I love it! Interesting use of jumbo hooks, also.

What an interesting idea! There are so many exposed zippers nowadays, but this is an interesting twist. Thanks for the post.
