Date: 12/30/10 7:58 AM OOOOOOH! I have a feeling it's goign to be a Good Year, LOL!
I love the first part "Mamma mia", very 50s, my favorite vintage era in clothing! I need line drawings for that dress. Especially the white dress and the buttoned corset top! (I can finally rationalize making one, LOL!)
Also like the front kick pleat skirt (with the bicycle!)
WARNING: I see an old sea captain, striped tee-shirts AND a brown safari skirt suit in the SAME issue so those sensitive to these themes, beware!
Love the colors: Red and Navy, bold solids (not sure about the neon, though. Been there, done that!), flower prints.
So basically 3 eras: 50s, 70s and 80s? -- Edited on 12/30/10 8:29 AM -- ------ Fashion Maté, where I blog about what I (eventually) sew : http://fashionmate.blogspot.com

Date: 12/30/10 10:18 AM I did spot one of those awful Safari jackets, this time paired with a tulip skirt. Will they never give up that hankering for colonial domination?

Date: 12/30/10 2:34 PM Eh, I see nothing here to excite me whatsoever. It's either designs we've seen already in the past few years (check out June 09 for another knit blazer pattern, and that's just off the top of my head), or shapeless sacks or more basics.
This is the last of my short subscription, and since I can easily pick up individual copies again for the odd good issue, I'm definitely letting this lapse. ------ www.fehrtrade.com |
