Date: 1/8/11 12:55 PM I found a website for a pattern and clothing designer who seems to specialize in cute and easy maternity and nursing patterns, and she only charges $5 per pattern and they look really cute. They are in PDF format and she guarantees that they hit your email inbox within 24 hours of paying. I ordered one to try her out and it's been two days with no reply. I would order every pattern she's got, if i knew i could trust her.
Has anyone else had experience with her? |

Did you get an email right after you paid? The email usually has a link that you can use to get your file. ------ Mary

Date: 1/9/11 1:27 AM I haven't had any dealings with this person/company but on Twitter (link on her blog) Megan posted this only 8 hours ago -
"Back in iowa! Sooo tired... thank god the sleep deprivation torture of travelling with babies is over! Let the jet lag begin..."
It sounds like she has been in Australia (according to her blog entry on Dec18) and only just got back home. On her blog (Dec18) she writes, "I won’t have access to my email while I'm away, so if you email me and I don’t respond, please don’t think I’m ignoring you!"
If the .pdf files don't get sent automatically it may explain the delay. A lot of businesses close at this time of year and unfortunately forget to post a note on their website. I had something similar happen in the last two weeks.

Date: 1/9/11 4:59 AM Thank you so much, Sewforfun. I bow to your superior researching skills. I know I'm being anxious but I got the positive pregnancy test Friday morning and since this Baby (my second) is coming at the end of summer instead of the end of winter, most of my pregnancy wardrobe won't work - which is OK. My fingers are just itching to start a few new nursing/maternity outfits. |

Date: 1/10/11 7:55 AM UPDATE - Megan got back to me yesterday with the pattern file attached to the email. It seems to be very high quality, the instructions are simple and clear and the detailed photographs are just wow. I'll be sure to write up a review of it when I sew up the dress. She has a whole line of patterns for maternity and nursing shirts/dresses that are incredibly cute and come with several style options. I hope to spread the word since it's such a godsend for those of us who are finding nothing but frustrstion in the maternity/nursing department with the big 4. |

Date: 1/10/11 4:07 PM Congratulations!
I'm glad the pattern mystery has been solved! Maternity clothes anywhere have limited selections; it's wonderful to be able to sew! I look forward to your review (had two kids get married in the past year, and you never know when grandkids might show up! LOL).
Take care, and best wishes for a pleasant pregnancy! ------ ~Debbie |
