I mostly use Burda envelope patterns, and I know they're coming out quite soon because our fabric store has its 2-3 week semi-annual Burda sale on now. So I started Googling and discovered a few items that have been put up as downloads... I assume (from past experience) that they'll keep adding to this collection over the next week or so. The above link doesn't show much, but I'll keep checking and updating. (Yes, one of the items is a particularly ugly pair of sarouel pants, but let's not pre-judge the whole collection by this, lol.)

P.S. The German site also has the "Hauptkollektion Frühjahr / Sommer 2011" heading all set to go, but nothing has been posted there so far. I'll keep my eye on this, too. Normally they post the new items over a period of several days.

One of the things I love the most about you Joan1954 is that you're so fun to Burda-stalk with, LOL!

I'll be checking in too! (Not that I buy the envelops but it's still fun!)

Happy to have you to stalk with!

There's not much happening with these things yet -- I saw one this morning that I hadn't seen before, but it might have been there already (the results can vary a bit if you change the date range or something). I'm guessing this will take them at least a week or two to complete, but I expect they'll have the new collection posted by maybe the third week of January, like they usually do.

It's interesting to see that they're beginning by posting them as downloads you can purchase, not first as items in their new envelope pattern collection, then as downloads.

Can't you get the envelope patterns where you live? I looove them... much easier than tracing from a maze and adding seam allowances, lol. And they have actual instructions (well, with weird English, but it usually works out).

Hmm, it seems they've started pulling soon-to-be-discontinued envelope patterns from the online catalogue (on the French Burda site). I just went there to find the number of one of my TNT skirt patterns, to begin a review, and the pattern is gone... it's been around for ages, but it's a great basic beginner skirt, so I'm hoping they're replacing it with something similar.

Good sign that they're getting ready to post the new patterns, though...

I was just browsing over on the russian site and found 75 new patterns for 2011. Lots of crazy stuff and weird, asymmetrical drapings. My f avorite was a pair of princess seamed pants/trousers, kneelength I think. I only went through the line drawings. There were a few nice dresses and an interesting jacker or two. The rest needs to grow on me.

I just that those pants were in petite sizes so thats way cool.

Oh, how weird. I've checked the Russian site twice today and there was nothing about new spring/summer patterns. I'll go check again now.

OK, cool -- they're up now in Italian, too, but the Russian site has drawings, so I'll stick to Russian for now.

I don't know if they'll be adding more, but here's the link, anyway -- New Burda envelope patterns, spring/summer 2011 (Russian site)

Ack -- most of it's horrible. I hope they survive after putting out a collection like this.

There are some gorgeous evening gowns and bridal gowns, though. And a few nice men's things, including shirt 7359 (which I think my son would like, since he likes fitted shirts):

I really like this skirt, too -- view A, anyway (7345):

But other than a handful of really nice items, I'm thinking they've lost the plot here... must be smokin' something. (Yeah OK, maybe all fashion will be baggy and asymmetrical in a couple of years, but if so, I won't be wearing it.)

(primal scream....)

I only liked one pattern out of the whole bunch, which is a good thing since I have way too many patterns.
