Date: 1/11/11 10:35 PM Does anyone know where I can buy Liquid Pins by Sullivan? I can't find it locally or online so far. My bottle is all gone and I like this stuff. A suitable alternative would be great to know about also... Thanks! |

Date: 1/11/11 11:04 PM Google up the company who makes the product.. and ask them for a list of local retailers.. or a list of where you can order it off the net.. If you want you could probably call them.. the companys info should be on the bottle you have somewhere... |

Date: 1/11/11 11:12 PM Thanks! The bottle was still in the bottom of my trash I looked up the company (they are in Australia) and think maybe they don't make it anymore. It wasn't listed on their web site. I wrote them anyway. I'll look in a quilting store for a similar product if they don't make it anymore. I don't quilt but I think that's my best chance of finding something similar. |

Date: 1/11/11 11:53 PM Don't give up yet.. we have plenty of PR members who live in AU.. In fact I will email one of them that is a good friend of mine.. So I have confidence if the company is still in business..and still makes that product.. we can get some for you somehow.
I will send her an email..and let you know when I have had a response from her...
ANY additional info you can give me would help.. do you have the company name please..
What exactly did this product do.. what did you use it for.. then we could maybe offer you suitable substitute products that are easily found.. |

Date: 1/12/11 0:47 AM I've used Liquid Pins, still have a partial bottle in my glue box. I started using Aleene's No-Sew Fabric Glue which I like a little better. It washes out very well as long as you apply it finely and DO NOT iron it. It's readily available almost every where you buy any notions...even Walmart.
You can also use Elmer's school glue sticks (I like the gel kind). It works best on very firm fabrics. I swear by Wonder Tape for fleece and heavy zippers. I also use wash-away thread for basting on the machine if I am going to need to separate the seam allowances during construction.
Lots of things can do the job. Just experiment a little and if in doubt, of course, do a sample. ------ She looks for wool and flax And works with her hands in delight. Proverbs 31:13 NAS
