They have cycled in and out in higher/Hollywood fashion, it seems to me in the last few years. They could be back in a marginal way for mainstream fashionistas, but I don't see it getting as crazy. Certainly not seeing the hair or the big shouldeers yet.

I've got a few leftover patterns from the 80's. This may be my year to get those made up.

I sure the heck hope not. I did the 80's the first time around and it was awful for me.

Having said that, now I'll just wear whatever looks good and suits my figure instead of forcing myself into something because it's "in style".

I liked the dropped waists, full skirts, and puffed sleeves. Think I'll avoid the explosive hairstyles, though.

I miss the leggings and ankle boots which have been "back" for a while now.
Do not miss the neon colors or huge geometric jewelry (which, if it comes back, I am perfectly prepared for since I STILL get a pair of large purple triangle earrings or something every year from my mother)

I loved the 80's styles (except for the horrible Dynasty inspired ickiness). Wild hair styles, bright colors, geometric shapes, loud makeup, Mad Max inspired snaps, studs, and straps - I loved it all! I really wish I'd gone overboard dressing like that back then, but unfortunately was too restrained/self conscious to do much of it.

As a preteen and teen in that decade ... I tried! Mom still had the checkbook veto, though ... so I am hoping for the chance to redo the "Decade of Excess" in all its tacky glory to the hilt this time!

I'm still waiting for my retina-searing bright-as-a-white-dwarf-star neon/fluorescent hot pink and blue to come back ...

I don't really make mistakes ... I create "learning opportunities"! Murphy says: The better you match the thread to the fabric, the more likely you will need to rip some stitches out! I spend more quality time with my seamripper than I like ...
Yes, I DO love fabric!!

...it has to come back before I use it?

Oooooh yes biker chic :)

I wear my motorcycle jacket wherever I can, but people probably think it's just a fashion accessorythey don't get close enough to see the dried smashed bugs ;)
