Date: 1/24/11 9:36 PM I bought 5 yards of navy mini-ottoman knit several years ago, don't remember the exact fiber content or where I bought it. I pulled it out to make some pants last week, and was impressed with the quality. It drapes, yet has a firm stretch with good recovery.
The texture is different, but in some ways, it reminds me of the fabric used in a three-piece navy suit I bought from Ann Taylor years ago. It was a drapey stable knit, too. The dark navy was so versatile.
Do you think this type of pattern would work? Simplicity 36160, view A without lapels. ------ Elizabeth |

Date: 1/26/11 10:12 PM Veiw A looks good for this sort of knit. Burda sometimes has jacket patterns for firm knits, amd they are usually close fitting and not very long - which fits this Simplicity as well.
You may find the sleeves a bit wide, but thats easy to fix towards the end. |
