HI all, i have follower the texture printed on my pleather in the past, however it would be more economical if i could just lay the pattern pieces to fit.
i would like to know if anyone has done this before? is it ok or do i need to follow a grain layout? btw it does look like my pleather has a knit backing, does that matter?
Also i bought some pleather at Hancock's one time in the remnants and it had no odder and the backing looked like suede, i have not seen it anywhere again, does anyone have a source for this?

if a little voice inside says dont buy that fabric you have so much, you know your not pushing the cart with the loud wheel to the cutting counter fast enough!

you need to treat pleather like fabric. because the backside is fabric and the synthetic leather made of plastic.
certain piece can be layed all ways. the main pieces should be layed with the grain. remember you shouldn't use pins. If you have to pin on the outer edges. Seam allowances.
hope this helps. good luck on your project.

I've just pulled some pleather out of my stash and it has crease marks. Of course, duh, thats because I folded it and put other stuff on top of it..
Does anyone know how to get the marks out?
