For some reason, this magazine seems to have been under the radar of PR. I could not find one review! I don't think it's available in English - only in German (Sabrina Woman) and in French (Elena Couture).

I noticed this magazine for the first time on German Canadian News website, when I was renewing my Burda subscription. Maybe I had seen it before, but it did not catch my attention?

I ordered the Fall issue amd only had time to sew a super simple top from it (no review, sorry). But I received the Spring issue this morning, and there are many, many styles that I like a lot!

I am not familiar with Elena/Sabrina, as I said, since I only made a simple top from the last issue. Therefore, I can't judge if the patterns are well drafted, if they fit true-to-size, etc. I can tell that the technical drawings leaves a bit to be desired ...but the photographs are clear. The instructions are very sketchy, so those who don't read French nor German will need a good sewing manual in addition to a bilingual dictionnary!
Although I think illustrated pattern instructions should also be used with a good sewing book for optimal results, but I digress.

Sizes go from 38 to 50, which are approximately 34 to 48 (or 50) for Burda.

I have a bunch of Elena Couture, most of which I bought in France or were sent to me by my French friend. The magazine is identical to Modellina (Italian). Modellina is available by subscription in the US 3x year from glpnews.com for $30.

I've tried to add a picture of the cover of one issue, from my Flickr account. We'll see if it works. I don't know that I've added pictures from Flickr to the message board and maybe it's a link-thing. Flickr doesn't want you to link to pictures unless it's a link back to Flickr.

Oh, I thought Modellina was something different, published in Italy.

Yes, I thought Modellina was different too and I was a bit disappointed when it turned out to be the same. The pattern sheet on the inside shows the other names of the magazines they go by. Some months they're different. It's quite confusing. And even more confusing is that I'm seeing some of the styles repeated from Diana issues a few years ago.

The styles are very inconsistent too. Some months are really great - the styles are chic, the models look great - and then there are some months where the styles are really boring, matronly and too big on the models.

I've sewn a few things from the Diana magazine and am planning on making a top from an Elena Couture.

Agree. But of course, no magazine will please everyone. What I like may be what you hate.

I'm waiting for mine to come from Stoff-art. Didn't realize that GCN offered it. I got the fall issue and have also only sewn a simple t-shirt from it. I thought it was really well drafted for a t-shirt. Can't wait to get the new issue. I too was surprised to see that there were no reviews and that the magazine is not even listed on the drop down pattern menu. Hopefully someone (maybe me!) will review a pattern soon.

The publisher is OZ-Verlag. My very brief google search produced a few interesting pattern magazines that may be worth looking at.

I just bought Lena Modetrend magazine off of eBay. It's a plus size mag, and there are a few things that I would really like to sew out of it.

I just received my Modellina magazine from GLP news and it has the exact same cover as the Elena Couture issue that zazzie linked to in her first post.

Ditto. My Modellina arrived Tuesday. And I'm liking a lot of the patterns in this issue too.
