Date: 2/23/11 8:09 PM I am sewing an equestrian hunt coat for my DD to show in this coming summer. The fabric is a suiting fabric from JoAnns and has some stretch to it. This will be great since she will need to actively move while wearing it. However, I noticed when I made myself a fleece jacket and lined it, that the lining prevents much of the stretchiness. Should I try to lay out the lining pieces on the bias?
Thanks for all suggestions... |

Date: 2/24/11 0:33 AM They make stretch woven lining. I used it when I made a stretch corduroy jacket. ------ My grandmother taught me to sew when I was 10, and I've been sewing ever since. |

Date: 2/24/11 8:48 AM EmmaOneSock sells stretch linings. They are mostly nylon, which may not be 'breathable' depending on your climate, but from your profile it looks like you are in Maine, so this would probably work. EOS is a reputable vendor and I've always been pleased with my transactions. |
