alternatives to cuffs on sleeves? I really don't like cuffs: what are my options?

This time I'm making a long sleeve version, in a patterned flannel, sort of a nature-floral. I've replaced the front darts with small strips of clear elastic. I just realized that I hardly ever wear long sleeve shirts and when I do, I spend a lot of time fretting about the cuffs. I usually roll up the sleeves. I wear plenty of long sleeve t's, so it isn't the length, it is the cuff that bothers me. So, I have not cut out the sleeves yet. Should I... make a long sleeve and finish with with a small band cut on the bias? make the sleeve longer and put on a facing so that it looks nice when I roll up the sleeves? I think I've seen a picture of a no cuff, 1 button way to draw the sleeve in a bit. Or is this more for a jacket than a shirt? If you know what I mean, any idea where I could see this picture again.... I am open to suggestions. Review here I didn't like the cuffs, either, even though I made the short version. What I would do, if I were making this again, is make a small facing to the inside, and leave a slit in the seam allowance. Close the sleeve with a snap or a pretty button.
