I am making a veil for a bride, who purchased the tulle and 4 inch, straight edge lace from her home country. I cannot find any information in the internet for machine sewing wide lace on a veil, and how to deal with the curves in the tulle. Any help would be appreciated!

About 5 years ago, I glued alencon lace onto tulle for my step daughter's wedding veil.

As I recall, I learned the technique from a book called I Do Veils, sent to me by Peg L, a member on this site. You might want to refer to that book, or one like it, for ideas.

I don't remember any suggestion that the lace be machine sewn to the tulle.

Very lovely...it looks as though the lace is off set the edge of the tulle...very pretty effect.

I haven't used quite that wide of a lace for veil edging, but I have used a 2". It, too, had a straight edge to it. I ended up cuting and piecing it to the curves edge of the lace. I hand stitched it. I tried machine stitiching, but it seemed that no matter what I tried, it wouldn't lay flat. I didn't have an attachment connector for my walking foot, or that probably would have worked like a charm.
