Recently accuired an American Beauty Precision Made Super Automatic sewing machine. Have done a great deal of research on many machines bu this one is illusive. Know it was post WWII Japanese etc. I am looking for a more refined date of manufacturing. With the cams it is capable of over 79 stitch selections and many more variations. I am aware of the trade mark dispute over the name American Beauty in 1960's as well, but looking to narrow down info onto this model.
Anyone have any info other then it being Japanese made?

There's a guy on the internet. His name is Zorba and he is a male belly-dancer.
All of that aside. He collects American Beauties and has a nice photo collection of many of them. I don't have a link. Just look up Zorba the male belly-dancer then look for his machine gallery. It's a lot of fun. Bert

Wow, Bert. Normally just mentioning vintage machines would have gotten my attention, but I gotta say, you had me at "Zorba the male belly-dancer"....

Hmmm. Gotta look that guy up!

I have a Model 1200 Super Full Automatic Zig Zag American Beauty. I want to sell it, but don't know anything about the value of this kind of machine.

Try listing it in an auction and letting the marketplace determine its value.
